The Wheatfield Garden Club (WGC) was started in 1982 by an ambitious group of women with a love of gardening and a desire to beautify Wheatfield. To that end, the Club was organized to present speakers at their monthly meetings, organize field trips and tours to broaden the horizons of its members, encourage all forms of conservation and inspire home and community beautification.
Members are requested to volunteer for various committees. As a working Club, members, if physically able, maintain the gardens at the Town Hall, Community/Senior Center, Fairmount Park, the corner of Nash/Niagara Falls Blvd. and flower boxes at the entrances to the town on Niagara Falls Blvd., Nash, Ward and River Roads.
The Club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month, March through October, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community/Senior Center. The year culminates in a member’s-only Christmas Party. We welcome anyone interested in gardening and willing to work to join us to see what we’re all about.
